Your initial contract to teach English in China is usually 12 months, Summer Camps run for 1-3 months. Many teachers choose to stay for one or more years, either
in China or in another country. There are excellent opportunities for promotions to more senior academic positions and to get a higher salary. We strongly recommend teachers at least finish a year contract with schools, because the reference letter and release letter is very important for your new employer to renew the Z (working) visa for you. This will also help you get higher salary with your new employer.
