Question 8714

I am actually still under contract until January. I have been living in China since 2015 and have most of my documents now. Can you tell me what type of background check I will need to prepare for future jobs

Given your current situation and plans for future employment, it's essential to prepare for a background check that typically includes a police clearance certificate and a health certificate. These documents are usually required for teaching positions, especially in countries with strict regulations, such as China. In your case, having lived in China since 2015 and having most of your documents ready will make the process smoother. However, it's crucial to note that the specific requirements may vary depending on the employer, location, and type of job. For instance, some cities in South Korea, like Seoul, Busan, and Incheon, have a high demand for English teachers, and the requirements might differ from those in China. To ensure you're prepared, it's a good idea to have all the necessary documents in order, including your passport, bachelor's degree or higher, TEFL/TESOL certification (if applicable), and a resume/CV, as well as a cover letter/introduction.
