Trying to make friends while simultaneously navigating unfamiliar customs can feel a bit overwhelming at times – it’s definitely not just about the clubs or cafés you join! Sometimes I wonder if we expats are secretly all trying to build entire communities around ourselves via social media before even attempting face-to-face connections, but I digress.
