Guangzhou has many bars from the low-range, cheaper to the top-end, expensive places. Recently around Liede metro many bars and restaurants have opened and this is worth a look.

Perry's Cafe Bar - Bin Jiang Dong Lu, Hai Zhu District, near Chigang Pagoda metro station (15 mins walk) Adjacent to Guangzhou Bridge.
Cheap drinks, buckets of Vodka, Gin and other spirits and cheap foreign food. Perry's is a popular bar and cafe for foreigners and chinese. You can get a bucket of booze for 45RMB, and 10RMB shots on Saturdays.
The food is very cheap, 25-30RMB for foreign dishes, Pasta, Burgers, Sandwiches and the staff are great.

The Tavern Pub, 6 Hua Jiu Lu, Zhijiang new Town, Guangzhou
Great food, atmosphere. Tavern really captures a foreign feel. With a Pool table upstairs and traditional English pub decor you'll feel right at home.
We recommend their Sunday Roast dinner.
