The scale of China is so large that there is a classification for super cities or special economic clusters of cities of which are destined for super-cities in the near future.
These areas in China are:
1. The Pearl River Delta Located in Sub-tropical South-East China is one of the largest economic clusters of several cities topping 50 million in total residents. Destined for one of the worlds first super-cities.
2. The Bohai Economic Rim Located in North-east China the Bohai Economic Rim includes Beijing and is one of the most populous influential areas of the world.
3. The Yangtze-River Delta Covering the skyline on the central eastern point of China, This economic zone features Shanghai amongst other very prosperous cities.
