Moving to China can be an exciting adventure, and it's great that you and your boyfriend are considering it. As an entertainment tech with prior military experience and a bilingual background, he has a unique set of skills that can be valuable in the job market. However, finding a job with Disney in China may be challenging due to the highly competitive nature of the entertainment industry. To increase his chances of finding a job, I recommend that he consider obtaining a TEFL certification, which is typically required for teaching English abroad. Additionally, having prior experience in the entertainment industry, such as working with Disney, can be beneficial. Since you mentioned that you are an educator and would be okay finding a job, you can also explore teaching opportunities in China. Many employers in China offer free accommodation and comprehensive health insurance, which can be a significant advantage. It's essential to research and understand the visa requirements, including the Z visa, which is typically issued to foreigners who come to China for work purposes. With careful planning and preparation, it's possible to find a job in China, but it may take some time and effort.
