I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the photo of the street food seller who works in the smoke-covered oven. The image was so captivating that I couldn't take my eyes off it. It was no surprise that it won the Food Photography Grand Prize. The way the smoke enveloped the seller gave it such an ethereal feel, as if the seller was a mystical creature. Debdatta Chakraborty, the Indian photographer who captured the image, truly has a gift for capturing emotion in her photos. The photo transports you to the busy streets of India, where the smell of spices and the sound of people haggling fills the air. Truly a masterpiece.
The Indian photographer took the photo on a busy street at night, while the vendors fired coal ovens to prepare Wazwan Kebabs and other street meals.
