The E-2 visa is a work visa for South Korea. In order to obtain this visa, you must first have your documents legalized in your home country. The process for obtaining an E-2 visa involves several steps, which can take a few weeks to complete.

1. Documents and Offer Acceptance

• Have a copy of your bachelor's degree notarized by a notary public
• Have the notarized copy of your degree legalized by the document legalization department for apostille authentication
• Obtain a criminal background check (CRC) from the government in your home country
• Have the CRC legalized for apostille authentication
• Obtain original, sealed university transcripts and have two copies made
• Submit a health statement, which must be signed by a licensed medical doctor in your home country
• Have five passport-sized photos taken
• Apply online at http://southkorea.findworkabroad.com/apply and upload the necessary documents

2. Interview

• Once your application has been accepted, you will be scheduled for an interview at the Korean embassy in your home country
• Bring the original copies of your documents, including the health statement and passport-sized photos, to the interview

3. Visa Issuance

• If your interview is successful, the Korean embassy will issue your E-2 visa
• Have your visa stamped in your passport

4. Arrival in South Korea

• Once you arrive in South Korea, you must register at the immigration office within 90 days of arrival
• Bring your passport, visa, and copies of your documents to the immigration office

5. Employment

• After you have registered with the immigration office, you can begin working in South Korea
