Villa Montessori School is seeking enthusiastic, highly skilled Elementary English Teachers to join our bilingual school community for the 2026 2027 school year.
We are looking for educators who can inspire confidence and curiosity in English, build strong reading and writing foundations, and create engaging learning experiences for children in Lower Elementary 6 9 and Upper Elementary 9 12 .
THE ROLE
Our English Teachers work with elementary students in a respectful, child centered environment. They support students development in:
English reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary
Reading comprehension, fluency, and confidence in oral communication
Creative writing, research, presentations, and age appropriate literature
Independent work habits, executive function, and academic responsibility
A genuine enjoyment of learning and using English
Teachers collaborate closely with the classroom team and school leadership to support each child s individual progress.
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary starting at US 1,400 per month, depending on qualifications, experience, and responsibilities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Fluent English at a native or near native level
Bachelor s degree in Education, English, Elementary Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
Minimum of two years of teaching experience with elementary aged children
Strong ability to teach reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral communication
Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with families and colleagues
Willingness to relocate to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Commitment to completing the full school year preference will be given to candidates interested in two to three years of continuity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching English Language Arts, ESL, EAL, or bilingual elementary programs
Experience in Montessori, inquiry based, project based, or other child centered learning environments
Montessori credential or training is welcomed but not required for this position

The ideal candidate is warm, organized, calm, creative, and genuinely enjoys working with children. We are looking for teachers who can create engaging lessons, maintain high academic expectations, observe students carefully, communicate professionally, and help children feel capable and motivated in English.
