Position: STEAM teacher (Primary/Middle)
Start date: Feb 2025
Location: Shanghai, China
Responsibility:
- Support the development of essential academic and STEAM skills through interdisciplinary projects and readings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design learning outcomes, monitor growth, and thoughtfully address individual student needs, particularly those related to English language learning.
- Deeply connect with students, colleagues, and parents to uphold a culture of welcome, safety, and respect.
- Participate actively in ongoing professional learning.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience teaching in a field related to technology, engineering, and/or computer science.
- Native English speaker or professional fluency in English is a plus.
- Strong content knowledge in one or more STEAM fields, with a bachelor's or equivalent study; graduate degree in related field preferred.
- Passion for creating and facilitating powerful, interdisciplinary student learning experiences to achieve ambitious learning outcomes.
Compensation Package:
- Salary: 30000 RMB to 35000 RMB for 25 classes/week (40 mins class).
- Housing Allowance or free apartment provided.
- Holidays: 2 months paid summer break and 1 month winter break and all national holidays.
- Insurance: Private Medical Insurance.
- Chinese Foreign Expert Certificate & Residence Permit/Z-Visa.
- Other benefits: Annual travel allowance, Free lunch during school days, etc.
